Itinerary

DAY 1

CUSCO-104 KILOMETER TO WIÑAYWAYNA

Our Short Inca Trail 2 Days adventure with camping begins when we pick you up from your hotel to the train station.

This trip will leave us at KM 104. From here, we begin the walk for approximately 3 hours to the well-preserved remains of the Wiñay Wayna ruins (at 2900 meters above sea level).

Throughout the walk we can admire beautiful waterfalls. After lunch, we continue walking for about 2 more hours until we reach Intipunku and then we descend to Puente Ruinas, where we have a camp to spend the night in our tents (in Aguas Calientes).

DAY 2

AGUAS CALIENTES TO MACHU PICCHU

After enjoying breakfast, we will begin our 1.5-hour walk to one of the most impressive archaeological wonders in modern history: Machu Picchu. As we get closer the expectation grows; until we discover this amazing wonder, nestled between the Andes mountains

Upon arrival, we are greeted by the iconic view, a panorama worthy of a postcard that invites you to take many photographs. Our expert guide will give us a talk about the winding streets of this Inca city, our guide will help us delve deeper into the history of the Incas, in addition to learning more about their culture. An unmissable and unique talk, which is not on any website.

After the guided tour, you’ll have free time to explore at your own pace. If you are more adventurous, you can climb Huayna Picchu Mountain, a challenging but rewarding hike that offers incomparable views of the surrounding landscape. The ascent usually takes an hour, with a similar descent time.

After enjoying the visit to Machu Picchu and learning more about the meaning that each of these streets had for the Incs, it is not just a city; but a great ceremonial center

We meet again at the Aguas Calientes station to board the train to Ollantaytambo, from where a comfortable bus ride will take us to Cusco. As the day draws to a close, we carry with us fond memories of this extraordinary journey through time and landscape.
